Has anybody seen the Dog Poo Fairy?

Has anybody seen the Dog Poo Fairy?Has anybody seen the Dog Poo Fairy? There are wanted posters being put up in the village but it seems the Dog Poo Fairy doesn’t exist. Help support the Keep Britain Tidy campaign by picking up what your dog leaves behind. Keep Adderley dog poo free.

Don’t leave it for the Fairy, the Fairy doesn’t exist

We’re On The Move!

For the last four years the Adderley Parish website has been with one hosting service. The website has grown and it now has in the region of 1000 hits per month. Not a lot by the standards of big website but for Adderley with its population of 300+ that’s quite something.

We have big plans for the website so that it provides the information that parishioners want and let’s people do things that they can do elsewhere such as buying tickets for Village Hall events on line.

To make this happen we are moving to a new hosting service. The move should happen next week and could take up to five days (hopefully it will happen more quickly). If you find the website isn’t available for a brief period then the move will be the reason why.

So stay with us and we look forwards to bringing you a faster website with new features in the next week or so. Any questions you can contact us on 01630 695862 or send us a message on the Adderley Village Facebook page.

Sunday’s Cycle Event

You may have noticed the small signs appearing on lampposts along the road to Audlem advertising a charity cycle event. It is likely that this event will come through the village travelling down Green Bank and then continuing down the Norton-in-Hales Road.

The Parish Council have contacted the organisers to alert them to the potential for accidents on the Norton-in-Hales Road on and near the old railway bridge where the road goes through a series of bends and also narrows considerably. As farms are currently silaging and spraying there is the possibility of agricultural machinery being on the road on Sunday in addition to the usual traffic.

It is suggested that people in the village be aware of the potential for disruption if a large number of cyclists travel through the village on Sunday. The event is scheduled to run for the whole day.
