Coffee Morning and Plant And Produce Stall

Cakes

How lovely to see so many folk at the coffee morning on Saturday; over 40 people attended, of all ages, and they were treated to some delicious cakes made by volunteers.

It still has to be confirmed but we think that the plant and produce stall made well over £100 and we have to give grateful thanks to Barry, Chris, Pete and Andrea for all of their hard work; not forgetting all who provided contributions and bought from the stall.

The coffee morning made around £70 but we still have one or two expenses to pay. All monies go into the Adderley Community Fund account.

If you would like get involved either volunteering or attending any of the events just have a work with someone in the Nice Place To Be group and you will be made very welcome.

Urgent News – Road Closure A529

Road Sign on A529

The A529 to Audlem will be closed from Monday for a period of 2 weeks. This is to facilitate investigative work at the bridge where the regular flooding takes place. Access to the school should be unaffected but onwards travel to Audlem, Nantwich and Crewe will mean a diversion via Shavington or Tern Hill roundabout.

We are expecting there to be a further closure in August, hopefully to address the road repairs at the site of the temporary traffic lights.

Its Saturday – must be the Coffee Morning!

Picture of cakes for the coffee morning

Oh my, rumours were true, there are some pretty special cakes appearing at the coffee morning today.  Not to be missed but there is a waist size warning.  Yours will be bigger when you leave, but my goodness you will be very happy!

We hear there is another luscious carrot cake which quite honestly is almost too delicious to be eaten, some raspberry muffins with attitude, some lemon, poppy seed and elderflower lemon curd muffins, some buttered tea loaf and…… well who needs more?  Oh tea and coffee of course.  10.30 to 12  Hope to see you there?
