Open Forum Number 2!

After a promising afternoon session which yielded a good discussion and a number of ideas for the Neighbourhood Plan the evening session was subdued as the dark windy evening deterred people from going out. For those who did turn out the experts from Apt were on hand to answer questions and some interesting ideas have made it into the mix. A big thank you to all who came.

Next week sees the final open forum of this series at Norton In Hales.

Moreton Say Hosts Open Forum Number One!

Very good night at Moreton Say last night for the first of the Neighbourhood Plan open forums. During the evening between fifteen and twenty people enjoyed tea, coffee and cake before a quick briefing from Lawrence of Apt then one to one Q & A.

There were large maps covering landscape, amenity space, listed buildings and the Parish Profile. This gave people lots to discuss.

This afternoon at 2:00 and tonight at 8:00 it’s the turn of Adderley. Apt will be there again together with Renee from the Community Charity. There’s an update on where we are and all of the maps plus, at the evening event, a chance to talk to the experts about the Neighbourhood Plan.

We look forwards to seeing you and hearing your thoughts and opinions. don’t forget, bring a friend or a neighbour especially if they haven’t been to one before!

Neighbourhood Plan Reminder

Don’t forget that we have two Neighbourhood Plan open forum sessions Wednesday 13th March.

One in the afternoon at 2:00 where you are welcome to join us for tea and coffee and to peruse the technical maps as well as ask questions that we can put to the experts.

Then there is one at 8:00 Wednesday night where you can meet the planning experts who are supporting the Neighbourhood Plan process. We will have the technical maps and you can ask questions directly. An opportunity for those who cannot come to the night time events. Why not bring a friend?

Tea and coffee will be served and the bar will be open. Everybody welcome, make sure you tell friends and neighbours.

3PNP Open Forums Wednesday 13th March – Update!

Village Hal

Have you told your neighbours? Details about next Wednesdays forums have been circulating for a few weeks now but not everybody will have seen it yet. Ask the question and encourage people who haven’t heard about the Neighbourhood plan to come and find out more and tell us what they think. If one person tells ten others then the message gets around. We would like to fill Adderley Village Hall.

For the Open Forum on Wednesday night we have planning policy writers in attendance to answer your questions on planning issues for the Neighbourhood Plan. Answers to questions such as where the designated sites are likely to be, who is potentially to be building what and where? Are there conservation areas? Where does it flood? Where are the employment sites? What is protected and what isn’t? What role does the canal and the Waterways Trust have in the development of the village.

On Wednesday afternoon for those of you who can’t attend the evening event we will have the technical maps covering the Neighbourhood Plan area. You can ask questions and if we don’t have the answers we will take them to the experts on Wednesday night. If you haven’t been to earlier events then now is the time to come and share a tea or a coffee and find out more about the Neighbourhood Plan. You can have your say.

This is a great opportunity to understand a little more about the planning process and what we are trying to achieve for Adderley and the Three Parishes. Most importantly it’s an opportunity to have a further say and what you would like to see as planning rules for the Parish in the future. Coffee and tea is available and the bar will be open for further refreshments.

Ready To Have Your Say?

Ever since late last year we’ve been talking about the Neighbourhood Plan which we’re doing with Norton-In-Hales and Moreton Say. Things are moving on quickly: We have a working steering group, we’ve secured funding from “Locality”, we have appointed consultants to help us out and our designated area has been approved by Shropshire Council.

When we held the last Village Meeting we asked everybody a few questions. Did you have your say? If not, now’s your chance. We will be at the next Coffee Morning on February 22nd. We will hold two meetings in the Village Hall on Wednesday 13th March: one at 2:00 in the afternoon and one at 8:00 pm on the same day. There’s tea, coffee and biscuits available and at night the bar will be open.

We will tell you what’s going on and we will bring you up to date with anything you need to know about the Neighbourhood Plan but we really want to hear from you. If you didn’t get chance to answer the questions last time there’s another opportunity at the up and coming meetings. We need your thoughts to inform the Parish Survey which will be coming your way in the summer so it’s really important for you to tell us what you think.
