Arrangements For Armistice Day

Entrance to St Peter's Church

Remembrance Sunday is this Sunday the 11th of November and will be a very special day: It  commemorates the The Armistice  that ended the  1st World War and this Sunday falls on the 11th hour of the 11th month just as it did 100 years ago.

Irrespective of faith please come to St Peter’s Adderley for the 10 am service  to honour all the soldiers who fought in this horrific war.

School Bonfire Night

Sunday saw parents and children gather for hot dogs, burgers and fireworks at Adderley Village Hall. There were stalls in the room and the bottle stall raised £90 for the Village hall.

Harvest Supper 2018

Monday night saw everybody enjoy a great Harvest Supper at Adderley Village Hall. Lovely food prepared by the amazing volunteers and an entertaining auction on behalf of St Peter’s Church with the donated food and flowers going to the highest bidder.

We’re on the Way and we need a Logo for Adderley

Village Hal

The Rebuilding Sub Group of the Adderley Village Hall Committee met on 10th September and members reported they had been busy all summer. The Finance Group will be meeting with the Council Funding Team and are looking at other sources of Grants and Funding. To this end some members will be attending Business Case Writing Courses specifically aimed at helping charities draw up a bid for funding. The Social Committee have been compiling a list of local businesses who might be approached for sponsorship and are in the early stages of planning a Grand Fundraising Event with a Celebrity Guest Speaker.

We would like to have a logo and strap line for all Adderley organisations and events. Any ideas? The oak tree on the village green or the church have been suggested so far. Any budding graphic designers out there please contact jane.rushton@live.co.uk

Neighbourhood Plan: Designated Area Consultation

The Three Parishes Neighbourhood Plan covers Norton In Hales, Adderley and Moreton Say. This will give us a say in how our villages develop over the next ten years so it’s an important plan and we all should be part of it.

Work has been underway to get it started over the last few months and we have formally notified Shropshire Council that we wish to develop our own Neighbourhood Plan. Shropshire Council have taken our proposal and put it out for consultation: this is an important first step.

The consultation will run until 24th October and you can see the proposed Designated Area here:

http://shropshire.gov.uk/get-involved/adderley-moreton-say-and-norton-in-hales-neighbourhood-plan/

If you have a view on the nature and extent of the area you should respond to the consultation using the links found at that address.

To find out more about the Three Parishes Neighbourhood Plan, who is involved, what it means and how to get engaged in the plan you can visit:
