Adderley welcomes a new playgroup which will open from Wednesday 8th September, 9.45am -11.30am. We are welcoming donations (to supply healthy snacks) and volunteers.
Adderley village hall is welcoming new baby & toddler group for Wednesday mornings. All children under the age of 5 are welcome with their parents, grandparents, carers & childminders.
The group will run term time on Wednesdays between 9:45am and 11:15am.
It shall be a free group to attend however donations are welcome to enable the group to provide the children with healthy snacks, arts & crafts and messy play. So far Morrison’s have kindly gifted us food towards the group and Adderley hall are providing the tea and coffees. Special thanks should be given to Phil Glad who is part of the village hall committee allowing the group run. We hope it’s a great community asset in bringing together parents & preschoolers especially after an isolating time for new parents during the pandemic.
The group has lots of great toys & books all of which have been donated by the general public to help set it up. It shall have a baby area for none walkers and the hall is a large space for preschoolers to run around and enjoy themselves.
We are currently looking for additional volunteers to help with the group. Even on a time share basis would be of great help. This will involve setting up the toys ready for the group to start, helping with drink & good and cleaning up afterwards.

A great time was had by all on Friday night at the Puddings and Prosecco evening. Sheila Greetham has sent us some pictures.
Thank you to everyone who came to the Puddings & Prosecco Evening last Friday night. We had a very successful event, and a fantastic range of puddings with plenty of prosecco to go with them. Many thanks to everyone who supported it, in any way, but especially to everyone who made and donated the delicious puddings, making the night such a sweet success!! Thank you also to Adderley Village Hall Committee for allowing us to use the Hall whilst it’s going through a fabulous “makeover”.

Our next social/fundraiser will be on Wednesday 1st September with the “MicWire” singers plus special guests. This is being held in the beautiful, old part of St Peter’s Church, acclaimed by professional musicians for its fantastic acoustics. If you’ve never been in there before & heard live music, now’s your chance! Put the date in your diary & look out for further promotion nearer the time!!
