St. Peter’s Church
There has been Christian worship on the site of St Peter’s Church for over 1,000 years and it continues to this day. Services at St Peter’s are at 9.30am every Sunday, except for the 4th Sunday of the month when we have a joint service at one of the Churches in our group (Adderley, Moreton Say, Ightfield, Calverhall & Ash – collectively known as the AMICA Benefice). You’d be very welcome to join us – our worship is a mix of formal prayers and an informal atmosphere, and the singing is always enthusiastic!
St Peter’s Church holds special services through the year, including Harvest, Remembrance, Christmas and our always popular Easter Sunrise Service. The Church is there for you in the highs and lows of life, do contact the Rector if you’re thinking about a Christening, Wedding or Funeral or if you want to mark any other significant occasion. You can find out more about what we do at www.amica.org.uk or facebook.com/amicabenefice or look out for information about upcoming services on the signs outside Church.
St. Peter’s Church has a fascinating history and is unusual in being jointly occupied by the Church and the Churches Conservation Trust (CCT). The Church uses the West end of the building which is partitioned off, making it a wamer and more welcoming space. The remainder of the building is used occasionally for services, concerts and other events. If you would like to visit this historic church please contact the Churchwarden to arrange access.
