Westholme Nursery Woore To Re-open
Loving your garden in lockdown? Westholme (Lindops) Nursery in Woore re-opens its doors tomorrow 11th May, 8am to 6pm with distancing guidelines still in place.
Lindops have been kind enough to offer deliveries of garden supplies subject to a £20 minimum order so it’s good to see that they are able to open.

We were sent so many lovely pictures by the kind members of our community that we’ve had to give them a page all of their own. Just click the tab at the top of the page to go straight to them.
Update To A529 Road Closure
The roadworks on the A529 and the subsequent road closure are now scheduled to begin on Monday 11th May. All other details remain the same as in the information here:
Clapping for the NHS and Carers in Adderley
On Thursday at 8:00 in the evening people in Adderley took time out to make a noise for all of those people who look after us, keep us safe and keep life running from day to day when we’re in lockdown.
This week we took a few photographs to share with everybody:
We also recorded 30 seconds of the minute so people can hear the noise.
It’s Thursday -Reminders
A reminder to everybody who is clapping for the NHS this evening at 8:00 to take a picture of yourselves and send it to:
webmaster@adderleyparish.co.uk
We will use these to create a gallery for the website.
Another reminder to take your rainbow pictures to the bus shelter and put them in the envelope so that they can be part of the display on the noticeboard.
And finally Esther: The A529 into Market Drayton will be closed from the 5th May for 6 weeks.
Saying Thank You.
The Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Hospital Trust has issued a letter to say how overwhelmed they are by the support of communities during the current pandemic. You can read a copy of the letter here:
Let’s celebrate everybody clapping for the NHS. How about taking a picture of yourselves or your street when we go out and clap for the NHS. It’s been suggested that it would be a nice idea to capture that moment. So next Thursday 30th April, come rain or shine, when you stand in your garden take a picture with your phone and send it to:
webmaster@adderleyparish.co.uk
We will use the pictures to create a gallery on the website.
Also we want pictures of rainbows. There are some blanks in the bus shelter (or you can make your own). Colour them in (it’s mindful and can occupy the children) and leave the finished rainbows in the bus shelter in the plastic wallet provided. The Adderley fairies will laminate them and make a display on the village notice board to show our support.
Speed Limit Changes – Have Your Say
Judging by the amount of traffic to the website a large number of people have read about the proposed speed limit changes to the A529 between Market Drayton and Adderley and within Adderley itself with the extension of the 30 mph limit. If you missed it you can find the details here: Speed Limit Changes
It’s important that if we want these changes to happen we must indicate as much to Shropshire Council. The Parish Council will be indicating that it is in favour of the proposals. OF course there may be people who wish to object to the proposed changes; either way it is up to us to make our views known.
The formal consultation is now live and the link below will take you to the consultation area of Shropshire Council’s website. There is a tab entitled “how to get involved” which provides an email address to respond to plus a contact number should you have any queries.
