Its always difficult if you have just moved into a village, or if you have just retired and didn’t really have time to get to know people when you were busy working.

If you live near someone who may not be aware of our village coffee mornings, why not just check if they know its on and invite them to come along.  People love to be asked

You might be able to tempt them if you tell them that there is an Apple and Pear Cake, a Carrot Cake, a Cherry and Coconut chocolate slice and a Lemon Drizzle on offer this week.  Something for all tastes we hope as well as good company and a warm welcome.

Yes, the last Saturday in the month is here, 25th January.  Hasn’t time flown this month inspite of the awful weather which has been so dull and miserable?   Well if its getting you down and you want cheering up abit, there is nothing nicer than a cup of coffee, an excellent home-made cake and a chat with people.

Join us in the village hall on Saturday morning at 10.30 when you can be sure of a warm welcome and a chance to catch up.

Join us for a traditional Carol Service at St Peter’s Church, Adderley on Sunday 22 December at 6:30pm. All are welcome.

Due to the windy weather today this evening’s Christmas lights and Carol Service at Adderley has been postponed.

The good news is it’s all on for next Saturday 14th December from 6:30pm, Santa and The Pizza man will be there.

We are only a few days away now.   Rumour has it that there will be a very nice ginger cake on offer plus a couple of other tasty offerings that you will have to wait until Saturday to see.

Look forward to seeing you 10.30 Saturday morning, for good conversation, coffee and a cake.  Great way to set up your weekend.  

Yes, the coffee morning will be on Saturday 30th November 10.30 – 12 noon in the village hall, with luscious cakes, good company and of course coffee!   Please support as this month we have two of our younger residents, Vickey and Beth,  hosting and baking and it will be lovely for them to have a full house.  

So, see you there, please bring friends, relatives and new neighbours.   Its a lovely friendly chatty event with lots of opportunities to meet and catch up with friends old and new.  We will be popping posters up around the village and putting notices through doors to remind you but make a note in the diary now and we look forward to seeing you there. 

Yes, this Friday 27th September at 3.15 – 5.30 in the village hall, Adderley School are hosting a Macmillan Coffee Event, with cakes, and a raffle.   

Please try and support if you can, they would love to have as many people as possible from the village at the event.
