Don’t cook tea on the 8th December!

Santa and Mrs Claus

Instead, come down to Adderley Village Hall to the Christmas Tree Lights Switch on, and then buy one of the now famous @Mortzarella wood fired Pizzas.   They are so delicious its a shame to slave over a hot stove on a Friday night when you can just enjoy one while you browse all the goodies in the village hall.

Pudding needed?  No problem, there will be cakes and mince pies, tea coffee and delicious mulled wine or something a little stronger from the bar if you prefer.

Hope to see you there!  @Mortzarella   Be sure of your supper and pre-order by calling or texting  the number on the image below!

Halloween in Adderley update

Halloween Event Header

There are a lot of haunted shenanigans to enjoy in the village hall this year.  On Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, 26/27 and 28th October you can follow the Haunted Trail experience in the village hall.   There is a taster video you can watch on the @adderleyvillage and @AVH Facebook pages if you want to know more about this.

In addition we believe a number of children from Adderley School will be trick or treating around the village next Tuesday 31st so please give some indication as to whether you are happy for them to call at your home – a pumpkin or a light left on perhaps, so that you are not disturbed unnecessarily.   Thankyou.

What’s On in Adderley

Everyone should have received a flyer through the door with details of whats on in the village up until Christmas.  Please keep it safe for reference, but, if you do happen to lose it, we hope the attached copy will help you and look forward to seeing you at lots of the events advertised.

PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE JUST BEEN NOTIFIED OF AN ERROR ON THE PAPER COPY – THERE IS NO EVENING CAROL SERVICE ON CHRISTMAS EVE, JUST ONE AT 10.30 AM.

Halloween is fast approaching. Whilst this may be fun for most of us, it can cause others concern and anxiety. We need to ensure that everyone remains safe.

We have put together some advice for trick or treating,.

* Adults should always accompany children when trick or treating.

* Young people should never go trick or treating alone.

* Do not knock on the doors of strangers – only go to people you know.

* Never go into a stranger’s house.

* Always keep to well-lit areas. Wear bright clothing and always carry a torch. Remember road safety. * Unless pre-arranged, do not visit elderly members of the community.

* Be careful not to frighten vulnerable people.

* Keep your tricks within the law – anything that results in damage is an offence and will be dealt with as such.

* Please do not knock on doors where there is a ‘No trick or treat sign’.

Your Safer Neighbourhood Policing team will be on patrol on 31st, and in the days before and after. We will be ensuring that everyone has a enjoyable and safe evening.
