Aren’t People Lovely?

Amazing coffee morning this Saturday. The hall was filled with lovely people and the buzz of conversation. Tea, coffee and cakes made by the volunteers were consumed and we sorted out the world.

What’s more people came and collected their Queen’s Canopy Fruit Trees, supplied by Adderley Parish Council, as well as stopping by for a bit of a chat; how nice is that?

Now we’re looking forwards to the next one with a bit of an early festive treat, we can’t wait and we hope we’ll see you there.

ANNOUNCEMENT – NEW CLASS

Yoga

I am so excited to announce the start of a new class in the village of Adderley.  The new addition to the timetable will be held in Adderley Village Hall on Monday evenings at 7.15pm.

The duration of the class is:- 1 hour

The cost of the class is:- £8

What do you need to bring? Yoga mat, Blanket

Join me and slow down with Yin Yoga.

Yoga
KulaYoga

This class is a perfect opportunity for you to pause and come back into balance.  Yin yoga allows your body to settle as it is a slower and more meditative practice that targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments and joints

Due to the slower pace, it gives you an opportunity to turn inward and tune into both your mind and notice the physical sensations of your body.

In yin yoga we hold poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga so helps you to stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues.

If you are new to yoga or if you haven’t practised yoga for a while, then this class is for you as we make use of the props (which are provided) for added support or lengthening.

Adderley Jubilee Fun Day 2022

Knives and forks in union jack napkins

Simple Thanks are not enough. Thank you, of course, all who turned out to have a lovely afternoon and enjoy food, drink and entertainment. There has to be a huge thank you to all who worked behind the scenes organising the money, sourcing and making the food and bringing in food to share. There were many but of note we had: Wendy, Margaret and Sue at the bowling club, Val and Lesley on teas and cakes and Bill on the bar. Then there was the setting up and organising: Phil and Carol Gadd and Ben Wrathall who were there from early in the morning. Not to forget the herculean efforts of Iain Wilson and James Parsons who oversaw the setting up of the Crazy Bowls and the unforgettable “It’s a Knockout”

We enjoyed a dog show, music from Dickie and singing from Micwire. It was a great day all round. So enjoy the images from the day below and once again thank you to all. There are more images to be found from the whole weekend on Adderley Galleries

Countdown To The Jubilee

Oh my! A long weekend and so much to do. There’s lots going on in Adderley during Jubilee weekend. We kick off with a Jubilee Quiz on Thursday 2nd June followed by the Big Breakfast on Friday then there’s the Party On The Green from 4:00 on Saturday including Crazy Bowls, a BBQ and a Dog Show plus lots of things for the little ones. There’s a performance by Mic Wire and music from Dickie. What’s not to like?

As we lead into the Jubilee weekend the Village Hall Bar re-opens every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday starting next week and following on from the success of the last one there’s another Meet and Greet Coffee Morning on the Saturday 28th May from 10:30 in the Village Hall.
