A Nice Place To Be
Dear All
Sadly, the request yesterday to older children to stop taking the Easter eggs from the nests leaving nothing for the young children was ignored. My rabbit friends tell me that they are still taking the eggs from The Green, playground and main road area.
Sadly, with all the stolen eggs we have had to replace, we have run out of eggs early and we wont have enough to replace the eggs after this morning.
But don’ worry, we have a cunning plan!! It means you can still have fun doing the trail if you haven’t already. In each hiding place you will find a white stone with a number on it. DO NOT REMOVE THE STONE FROM THE HIDING PLACE. Write down the number on your clue sheet next to that clue and when you have finished, PUT YOUR NAME AND A CONTACT NUMBER ON YOUR SHEET AND POST IT AT Willow Lodge on Green Bank and I and my friends will collect your form and deliver an easter egg or chocolate to you when I get some fresh supplies.
Hope you have fun and so sorry that you wont have chocolate to eat on the way round, but hope you will enjoy solving my clues anyway.
Best wishes
The Easter Bunny
The Easter Egg Trail is very popular, but unfortunately its a little too popular with a small group of children who decided to eat ALL the eggs from a number of sites repeatedly yesterday leaving none for those who followed them. The Easter Bunny knows who it is.
The trail is for fun, for little children to enjoy. By eating all the eggs you are depriving them of that pleasure. The Easter Bunny doesn’t want to have to speak to your parents so please make sure you leave the eggs for those who are doing the hunt for the rest of the weekend.
Parents may like to check in with their children to discuss this.
Hello there! Glad you are joining us on the Trail. Hope you have lots of fun but remember to be very careful crossing the road and only go with a grown-up/responsible person, not on your own. You may find the odd easter egg on the trail if you are very good at clues, but please don’t be greedy, just take one for yourself and leave the rest for those who may come next. The Easter Bunny
Click “Download file” below to get a copy of the Easter Egg Hunt OR go to the Book Shelter at the end of Rectory Lane to pick up a paper copy. Good luck and good hunting!
Yes, its true. Peter is down at the Book Shelter. He says to let you know he’ll be there til Monday evening if you want to pop and see him, and he and the Easter Bunny have been very busy with a team of rabbits from all over, setting up the Easter Egg Hunt. There will be eggs in all sorts of strange places just waiting for you to find them.
Its looking pretty good, so you only have two sleeps to get your thinking head on ready to work out the clues to do the Hunt. Clue sheets will be in the Book Shelter early on Friday morning or you can download them here from 6.30am Friday morning and use them on your phone.
Happy Hunting Adderley!
Yes, its me! Peter ……..
Thought I’d let you know that the Easter Bunny has been in touch. He and his friends have LOADS of eggs left over from their deliveries and wanted to know if we want some for Adderley for a Treasure Hunt? Well, I thought that was a rather silly question ‘cos of course WE DO!!
So I’ll get my thinking cap on and do a trail for you. It will all be ready to go from first thing on Good Friday morning and will last until Easter Monday evening – so up early folks. You know the saying – “The early bird catches the worm” (or in this case the easter egg :-))
The Trail will be around the village, so children, get Mum and Dad or another responsible adult to agree what time you are going out, and then pop down to the Book Shelter to pick up a copy of the Trail Clues, or download a copy here from Friday morning, and take a bag with you just in case you find the odd egg around.
And don’t forget, the Trail is for everyone so only take one egg per child from each place, so that there are plenty to go around The Easter Bunny will be watching so be kind and share.
We will put the Trail on line on Friday morning 6.00am so just visit the Adderleyparish.co.uk website News page to find the link, then anyone with a phone can download a copy to save paper. We will put a few paper copies in the Book Shelter for anyone who can’t easily print them off.
(Note to Adults – please ensure your children are supervised on the Trail)
