The toddler playground near the Village Hall has been newly painted and repaired in line with the annual ROSPA report commissioned by the Parish Council. It’s looking almost new and very inviting (if you’re up to 6 year’s old of course). Enjoy, play safe and don’t forget to respect the neighbours.
Where does the time go? It doesn’t seem like a month since the last coffee morning but it nearly is! This Saturday 24th September is another chance to savour home-made cakes, excellent coffee and even better conversation.
Please come and join us and have a think about asking your neighbours and friends who may be too shy to come along on their own, but might welcome an invitation to come along with you! See you on Saturday 10.30-12.00
I am so excited to announce the start of a new class in the village of Adderley. The new addition to the timetable will be held in Adderley Village Hall on Monday evenings at 7.15pm.
The duration of the class is:- 1 hour
The cost of the class is:- £8
What do you need to bring? Yoga mat, Blanket
Join me and slow down with Yin Yoga.
KulaYoga
This class is a perfect opportunity for you to pause and come back into balance. Yin yoga allows your body to settle as it is a slower and more meditative practice that targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments and joints
Due to the slower pace, it gives you an opportunity to turn inward and tune into both your mind and notice the physical sensations of your body.
In yin yoga we hold poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga so helps you to stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues.
If you are new to yoga or if you haven’t practised yoga for a while, then this class is for you as we make use of the props (which are provided) for added support or lengthening.
That was the verdict of a number of people who popped into the Coffee Morning yesterday in the village hall. People said they felt very welcome and loved chatting and meeting new people or catching up with old friends. One lady said she had met so many people the last time she came that she thought she would try and keep count this time of how many she talked to and completely forgot because she was so busy chatting to so many people.
That’s what we like to hear and of course some lovely cakes cooked by different people each time. I think we have to declare the Coconut Macaroons naughtiest this week but the Parkin, Lemon Muffins Fruit Loaf and Oatcake biscuits were equally delicious (not that we tried them all of course!) Thank you to the lovely volunteers who baked and took a turn in the kitchen this month and we look forward to seeing everyone again the last Saturday in September 10.30am Do you have a neighbour who may not like to come alone? Why not offer to bring them along. Its hard to walk in if you are on your own.
If you would like to offer a cake or an hour of your time to help any time we would absolutely love to welcome you to the team. The more the merrier.
It’s meet and greet coffee morning on Saturday 27th August a chance to catch up with friends and all things Adderley. Meet some new people over tea/coffee and cake. What’s not to like? £2.00 gets you cake and a cup of tea or coffee.
Fruit
Have you signed up for a free fruit tree? There’s just a few days left to let us know you’d like one of the small, bare rooted trees as part of the Jubilee celebrations.
This Saturday, 27th August, we will be having a meet and greet coffee morning in Adderley Village Hall.
10:30 until 12:00 and it’s £2.00 for tea/coffee and cake.
The last coffee morning was such a success we’re looking forwards to seeing old friends and, hopefully, one or two new ones. We know that a number of people are on holidays at the moment but if you can spare half an hour to sit and chat you will be made most welcome.
