Don’t forget the coffee morning 10.30 am this Saturday in the village hall.  There is a rumour that there is an awful lot of baking going on so please come and help to eat it!

Whether you have lived here for years, or are new to the village, have a new neighbour that you’d like to introduce to everyone,  or just feel like a coffee and a natter, you will be assured of a very warm welcome and we look forward to seeing you!

£2 for coffee and cake

Meet & Greet Coffee Morning

Don’t forget, its the monthly Coffee Morning on Saturday 25th June 10.30 – 12.00 in the Adderley Village Hall.   Please tell your friends and remind them to come along

It was so successful last month with 30+ people coming along to socialise and enjoy a piece of the lovely cakes cooked by the volunteers who organised the day.  Feedback was so positive and everyone said they wanted it to be done every month, so come along, bring a friend, a neighbour or anyone you think could do with the company.

And don’t forget – the cake is amazing!

Simple Thanks are not enough. Thank you, of course, all who turned out to have a lovely afternoon and enjoy food, drink and entertainment. There has to be a huge thank you to all who worked behind the scenes organising the money, sourcing and making the food and bringing in food to share. There were many but of note we had: Wendy, Margaret and Sue at the bowling club, Val and Lesley on teas and cakes and Bill on the bar. Then there was the setting up and organising: Phil and Carol Gadd and Ben Wrathall who were there from early in the morning. Not to forget the herculean efforts of Iain Wilson and James Parsons who oversaw the setting up of the Crazy Bowls and the unforgettable “It’s a Knockout”

We enjoyed a dog show, music from Dickie and singing from Micwire. It was a great day all round. So enjoy the images from the day below and once again thank you to all. There are more images to be found from the whole weekend on Adderley Galleries

A Right Royal Breakfast

We have to say a BIG thank you to everybody who supported the Big Breakfast on Friday morning. Judging by people’s comments it was a big success and a great time was had by all. Good food, and a chance to meet and greet over a full English, tea, toast and marmalade. What’s not to like. We served 106 full English Breakfasts which was pretty good for a first time.

Of course it wouldn’t have happened without the amazing volunteers who were there from 7:00 am to prep the room and cook the amazing breakfasts. Fabulous team work from everybody and a huge thank you.

We must also thank our sponsors without whom this event would not have been possible so many thanks to Morrisons and Asda  in Market Drayton and Shepley’s Family Butchers in Market Drayton who provided the excellent bacon, sausage and Black Pudding which everybody enjoyed. A big thank you as well to Andy and Ann Davis who provided the lovely free range eggs to complete a perfect breakfast.

Its a Knockout anyone?

Sadly its so long since it was on TV that many of you will be too young to remember it but it was definitely something that is worth reviving and guess what?   We are!

Yes, at the Party on the Green, you will have a unique opportunity to either be a contestant, or to watch others competing.  We guarantee that whether you are a participant or a spectator you will find it very funny so be sure to pop along and join the fun either literally or from the sidelines.  It usually involves water, is messy, and often slightly humiliating, but its all in a good cause and we cheer on the really good sports who take part.

Look forward to seeing you there on Saturday!
