Reminder: We Need Your Stones By This Weekend

This amazing collection of painted stones were brought from Adderley School this afternoon. These will join the others; some will be used on the stone hunt and others will be included in the stone snake.
A quick reminder: we really need your stones this weekend so drop them off at Willow Lodge please. Just leave them by the door and we will find them.

Lovely Stones
Three more stones arrived today!

Just look at these everyone. What amazing talent we have in the village. These were done by 3 adult residents and they are absolutely gorgeous. We have a stunning Octopus from Lesley Norman, a beautiful flower filled stone from Pat Norman and a Badger in the moonlight from Jane Kavanagh. They really are something to see. Can’t wait to have them out on the stone hunt trail for you all to admire close up.
The Countdown is on!
Yes, its getting exciting, its less than 3 weeks until Easter, and the Painted Stone Hunt! Thank you so much to all the lovely people who have offered to paint a stone for the hunt. We have started to get some of the completed stones back and Wow, they really do look fantastic. We have some very talented adults and children in the village.
We have put some photographs of some of the completed stones on the website, and its so nice to have some of our new residents taking part. Thank you to Adam and Vicky, Ed and Gemma and Stefan and Yasmin in particular for offering to take part when you are still trying to unpack and find everything! We are also very grateful to the staff at Adderley School who got in touch to say that they would like to support by asking the children to paint a stone. Finding 35 suitable stones was bit of a challenge but we are up for that and they’ve been delivered ready for painting too.
Don’t forget, we would like your completed stone back by 20th March so that we can begin the process of hiding them for the hunt which starts on Good Friday 2nd April and runs through until 11th April. Also remember that you need to download the What3Words App onto your phone to answer the clue on location of each stone. There is a link to the BBC website here, with a bit more info on the App and what it can do to help the emergency services.

Notice of Elections
Please see below the Notice of Elections both for the Unitary Council and Adderley Parish. If you wish to stand for Adderley Parish Council you can get details of the process from the Shropshire Council Website
Become A Parish Councillor
Another chance to join the presentation on becoming a Parish Councillor this Friday on Zoom.
There is an election on May 6th and our current Parish Council has two vacancies. We’re losing a female councillor and we would like to see applications from female members of the Parish.
Meetings are roughly once a month and they last approximately 90 minutes. There’s a little bit of reading but beyond that the amount of time you give is your choice. You can take advantage of Councillor training if you wish and that takes place in Shrewsbury when we aren’t locked down.
Link to the poster for the presentation is below. Please give this some thought we would love to see you volunteer for this worthwhile role in the Parish.
