Goulden Simpson the developers of St Peter’s Court next to the Village Hall have contact Adderley Parish to say that they have been awarded the Premier Guarantee Excellence Award 2015 for Best Small Development in their National Builders of Excellence Awards.
Kelly Simpson told us: “We are so proud to have had the development and quality of workmanship recognised by our industry piers as we have always strived to deliver top quality homes. And I personally am proud that the development reflects so well on this lovely village. ”
Kelly also gave us a progress update on the two semi detached properties at the front of the site which is “going well and is on schedule to be complete by the end of May 2016.
With one of the properties sold and plenty of interest in the remaining ones 2016 will see us welcoming new families into the village.

At last night’s Parish Council meeting Shropshire Councillor Paul Wynn reported that Shropshire Council are facing unprecedented cuts in funding and are keen to engage the public in a dialogue about how they might proceed.
In order to do this they have launched The Big Conversation; a wide ranging consultation with Shropshire residents looking at the options for dealing with the funding cuts. There are a number of ways in which you can participate in the consultation:
The document link below will explain the scale of the cuts facing all of us in the next five years, not one of us will be unaffected by these cuts in some way or other so Cllr Wynn urges as many people as possible to take part.

The Bridge drive was, again, very successful with a number of new helpers added to the usual group of brilliant volunteers.
We managed to fill 19 tables and we had a very good raffle which meant the total funds raised was £1024. (Webmaster says “Wowzers!”)
We received lots of compliments.
A very big THANK YOU to everybody who supported the event.
