Be Inspired By Pentabus

This is a lovely idea.  Why not log on and watch Pentabus live recording of one of the dramas that they normally bring to rural village halls.  The first one ‘Here I Belong’

is a wonderful story about the decline of rural villages and one wonderful story of hope in adversity.  It will make you laugh and cry, but it will also make you think.  It was released last Friday  but you should be able to watch it still by following the link below.

Then every Friday at 2.00 pm Pentabus will release another one.  Go on give it a go.
Dear Friends,

To celebrate World Theatre Day and to help you through these uncertain times, we are going to release recordings of our past shows on our website and social media channels. They can be streamed for free. These will remain live for the next three months and will be released weekly on a Friday at 2pm for anyone to access.

The first production to be released will be Here I Belong by Matt Hartley on Friday 27 March, watch the trailer above and follow the link below to the live recording.

Our other shows to follow include Crossings by Deirdre Kinahan and Each Slow Dusk by Rory Mullarkey. The recordings will be accompanied by social media Q & A’s with cast and creative teams from the productions, details of which will be announced via social media.

We are extremely proud to have been the first company to live stream theatre directly from village halls into homes and community spaces across the world.

Meat Deliveries In Adderley – Starting 2nd April

Chris and Lois McDermott have been talking to Mr Shepley who has a butcher’s shop in Market Drayton. At this time, when shopping is becoming more difficult for some of us, he is happy to make deliveries in Adderley.

I have spoken with Mr Shepley again this afternoon and we have finalised arrangements for the delivery of meat and other products to Adderley residents.

There will be ONE delivery per week on Thursdays and orders must be placed on the Wednesday.

  • Deliveries will start on THURSDAY next week (02/04/20)
  • All orders must be EMAILED to loisandchris@googlemail.com between 8am and 10am     on WEDNESDAYS (The reason for placing a collective order is so that Shepley’s are         not inundated with individual phone calls or trying to match orders to answerphone          messages.
  • With your order please give your full name, address and telephone number and any         specific instructions for delivery.
  • Orders should be a minimum of approximately £20.
  • Payment will be by mobile card machine, cheque or cash
  • Do not feel obliged to place an order every wee.

Hopefully this will work but we will just have to try it and see. I will pass on any information about meat prices and products as and when I receive them. Please feel free to pass on this information to others who live in Adderley.

Important Message From Reverend Clarkson

Entrance to St Peter's Church

Dear friends,

Following guidance from the Church of England, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all church meetings and services in the AMICA Benefice until further notice.  This includes the Calverhall PCC meeting tonight, and our Mothering Sunday services this weekend, and we are very sorry for any sadness or disappointment this causes.

All of our Churchyards, and some of our Churches, will still be open daily for prayer and reflection, and we would encourage you to make use of them.  We are also encouraging people to join us in praying wherever you are at 9am and 9pm each day.

I know that these are anxious times, but your church has been here to support you through plagues and famines, World Wars and Civil Wars and we will be here for you through this!  Please be assured of our prayers for all our communities, and if there is anything (practical or spiritual) that we can help with please don’t hesitate to contact Rev’d Rich on (01630) 639576 or revrichclarkson@gmail.com

At Pat Davies’ funeral yesterday I read these words which I think are very appropriate for us at the moment:
I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
“Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown”
And he replied: “Go out into the darkness and put your hand into the hand of God,
That shall be better to you than light, and safer than a known way”

Yours in Christ,
Rich
